(Please ignore the fact that this is months overdue!)
What a busy and fun fall we had! I wasn't very good about taking many pictures, so here are the highlights of what I do have! September welcomed us with warm (for the northwest) weather. Knowing this wouldn't last, we took advantage of this and spent as much time as possible outside! Matthew and Mollie love going on bike rides, especially to the neighborhood basketball court, where Matthew likes to shoot hoops and Mollie runs around.
Rainy days came soon enough. Matthew and Mollie love painting, coloring and playing with play dough. This was the mess after painting fall handprint trees.
Before taking a bath to clean up, we pulled out the shaving cream and had a little fun!
We celebrated Daddy's 28th birthday. Matt worked during the day, so we had a pretty low key evening at home. I made one of his favorite dinners, chicken friend steak and garlic mashed potatoes. We gave Daddy his presents, and the sang 'Happy Birthday' and ate M&M blizzards for dessert. We are so thankful for such a wonderful and godly husband and Daddy in our lives!
The following week we also got to celebrate Grandpa's birthday with dinner and cupcakes. Matthew loves helping blow out the candles.
Late October we went to the pumpkin patch with Grandpa and Gabby. There were SO many fun activities for Matthew and Mollie. I think he went down this slide about 50 times.
Happy Halloween! Matthew had been talking since September about how he wanted to be Buzz Lightyear for Halloween. Granted, at the time I don't think he even understood what the whole night was all about and what he would be dressing up for, but that's what he wanted to be either way! I was trying to get coordinating costumes for the kids, but I couldn't decide what Mollie was going to be. About a week before Halloween I just decided to take her to Target and let her pick out her own costume. I tried offering her all the cutest cheerleader and princess costumes I could find, but once she set her eyes on the puppy, it was all over, her heart was set and her mind decided. And I must say, she was just about the cutest little puppy dog I've seen.
We spent the evening at our church's annual Trunk or Treat. It's a wonderful night full of too much candy, food, games, activities and a bouncy house.
Happy Fall Ya'll!!
